The Platform Criticism Memory Debate aims to strengthen and develop partnerships based on a routine of meetings and exchanges, as well as to be an effective channel for disseminating research contents. Therefore, its purpose is to build up a territory for knowledge production, able to rethink the field of architectural criticism history, in order to guarantee its vitality and gradually to integrate new authors. As outcomes, the promotion of exchanges, courses, events and publications are expected.
The platform has been developed in the scope of the research project “History of Architecture Criticism”, of the Graduate Program in Architecture at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (PROARQ-UFRJ), cluster “Heritage, theory and architecture criticism” and in the research line “Theory and teaching of architecture”. It is the result of the joint efforts of four research professors Priscilla Alves Peixoto, Guilherme Bueno, Rute Figueiredo and Daniela Ortiz dos Santos, based on respectively the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, the Federal University of Minas Gerais, the Escola Superior Artística do Porto and the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main.
